I might have found the meaning of this mysterious od. To be honest Ott is not far from what this suggests but I think this is quite esoteric and hope this might shine some light on it.

I think magy is supposed to be pronounced mogoy.
The second letter is the á with its top pointing to the right which is similar as the h symbol as well as the th symbol and I think supposed to sound like the English word awe or the Scandinavian letter å.
